Black powder coated posts and stainless steel cable turned out to be a great combination for one of our recent deck projects in Northern California. Our customer wanted a clean look for a modern railing that was going to require very low maintenance.

For the top railings; stain grade Ipe hardwood was selected. Ipe hardwood works great with cable railings and features some of the most durable natural timber available. A dark stain was applied to the hardwood in order to match the black cable railing posts and preserve the natural beauty of the wood.
